WELCOME TO THE 2011-2012 HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION!

The Home and School Association for St. Genevieve Catholic School would like to welcome all new and returning families to the 2011-2012 school year.  The Home and School Association is a liaison between St. Genevieve Catholic School and your home.  Home and School encourages participation of families and St. Genevieve staff at meetings and activities and would like each parent to participate in at least one committee each school year.  A few of these committees are:

• Halloween Bazaar
• Room Mom or Dad
• Grandparent’s Mass
• Teacher Appreciation Week

These events are supported by Home and School dues.  An envelope for dues ($15.00) is attached and should be returned, with your payment, by Friday, August 19, 2011.

 Also attached, please find a “What’s Your Bag” form.  Please take a few minutes to choose a committee or two to join and return the form to Shelby Pate c/o Sarah Pate 1B, by Friday, August 19, 2011.  These committees produce successful events!

 Keep in mind that ALL adults MUST complete Safe Environment Training in order to participate in any of the activities that involve contact with students.  Safe Environment Training must be updated yearly.  Initial and continuing training will be done on-line at http://www.safeandsacred-htdiocese.org.  If you have questions or problems with this process, please call Jonnie Arcement at 985.446.5571 or jarcement@htdiocese.org. 

 Our first Home and School Meeting will be August 17, 2010, in conjunction with Open House. 

The Home and School Association is offering St. Genevieve School license plates at a cost of $5.00 each.  St. Genevieve School T-Shirts which can be worn on Spirit Days and Field Trips are also available.   Order information can be found on the school website.
